What should my child wear?

Comfortable athletic attire is best: shorts, t-shirt, socks, and sneakers. Please make sure long hair is pulled back.

Should my child bring anything?

Yes, every child should bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during class.

Is this program co-ed?

Yes! Our program is co-ed and open to both boys and girls.

Do parents participate?

For ages 2–3, one parent or guardian must actively participate alongside their child. For ages 4 and up, parents are welcome to cheer from the sidelines.

Does my child need prior basketball experience?

Not at all. No experience is required — our program is designed for beginners and focused on building skills, confidence, and having fun.

How are kids grouped?

Children are grouped by age to ensure a positive and safe learning environment.

What is the class format?
  • Ages 2–3: Parent-child sessions with fun, skill-based activities.

  • Ages 4–12: Skill-building practices with short scrimmages or games at the end.

What equipment is provided?

We supply basketballs and training equipment as well as a league t-shirt.

Where are sessions held?

All classes take place indoors at Cuyamaca Community College Gym, so weather is never an issue.

When do sessions start?

​Our next session begins Saturday, October 4th.

What if I miss a class?

Because we only meet once a week, we are unable to offer make-up classes or refunds. If you need to cancel in the middle of a session, we can credit your remaining classes toward the next session in the spring.

What’s the focus of the program?

We emphasize Fitness, Friendship, and Fun while teaching the fundamentals of basketball.
