At RSD Youth Basketball, located in the heart of Rancho San Diego, currently in the Cuyamaca College athletic center, our coaches mission is simple: get the kids to learn and grow in their basketball training, practice good sportsmanship, make friends, and have fun.

Where the Passion Begins
Nadia Gewarges
Nadia opened Dance Dayz Studio in Grossmont Center shortly after getting married. After loving it for years, having two kids became her priority and she sold her first business.
Having two boys made her realize there is a need in the community for basketball classes for young boys! And so, Rancho San Diego Youth Basketball League was formed.
Nadia has a degree in education, loves kids, and basketball. She is determined to find the right team to help meet this need in the community. If you're interested in joining the team please email rsdyouthbasketball@gmail.com
Rod Fakhoury
Coach
Rod has loved and played basketball since he could walk. He began coaching in 2005 while still in high school, leading a rec league team for his little brother. His own dream of playing in college was interrupted when he was diagnosed with brain cancer, facing a survival rate of less than 10%. By God’s grace, Rod beat the odds and went on to coach at Valhalla High School after his recovery. His passion for the game and heart for teaching young players inspired his sister Nadia to start RSD Youth Basketball. Today, Rod is excited to share his knowledge, faith, and love for basketball with the next generation.
